Using Water Quality Studies to Study Other Factors
Water quality studies that are performed on natural bodies of water as well as drinking water can help improve education regarding things like waste dumping, pollution, and runoff problems. We need further studies done on the world’s oceans and other natural bodies in order to determine the true impact of events that threaten the health of the underwater ecosystems.
Things like the Gulf Oil Spill of 2010 could have long reaching impact throughout the world’s waterways and the lack of follow up studies could result in unintentional damage to the ecosystem as well as the humans that work and play in the affected water ways.
